# FAQ

> Quick answers to the questions people ask most.

> [accordion] Is 2hour.fun open yet?
>
> Not yet. [Sign up](https://2hour.fun) now and start earning XP before it opens. The opening date is announced on [X](https://x.com/2hourfun).

> [accordion] Can I try it before it opens?
>
> Yes. [Test drive](https://docs.2hour.fun/test-drive.md) has ten simulated 2-minute rounds a day, each with a \$1,000 practice balance, the site's one-tap pad and the real curve maths. Simulated market. Not real money.

> [accordion] When is the launch window?
>
> Every day from 21:00 to 23:00 UTC, on both chains at once. The countdown in the site's top bar always shows the live times. See [The launch window](https://docs.2hour.fun/the-window.md).

> [accordion] Can I trade outside the window?
>
> Yes. Trading is open 24/7 on every coin. The window only limits creating new coins.

> [accordion] Which chains does 2hour.fun run on?
>
> Robinhood Chain and Solana, side by side, with the same rules on both. See [Chains and pairs](https://docs.2hour.fun/chains-and-pairs.md).

> [accordion] Does it cost anything to sign up?
>
> No. Signing up is free, and the one-time terms step is a signature, not a transaction, so it costs nothing either. Trades pay a 1% fee plus any coin tax and a small network fee. See [Fees](https://docs.2hour.fun/fees.md).

> [accordion] How much does it cost to launch a coin?
>
> A flat \$500, priced live in ETH or SOL, plus any dev buy you choose. Creators get 80% of their coin's trade fee until they've earned the \$500 back. See [Launching a coin](https://docs.2hour.fun/launching.md).

> [accordion] Can I get my reservation deposit back?
>
> No. The deposit is non-refundable, and you must launch in the next window or it's lost. It counts towards your launch fee when you do. See [Reservations](https://docs.2hour.fun/reservations.md).

> [accordion] Does 2hour.fun hold my funds?
>
> No. Your wallet, your keys: we never hold your keys. Every trade is signed by your own wallet, and your coins sit in that wallet. You can export your trading wallet's key and withdraw everything at any time. See [Your wallet](https://docs.2hour.fun/wallet.md).

> [accordion] I have ETH but want to buy a Solana coin (or the other way round)
>
> Use **Convert** in the wallet menu to turn ETH on Robinhood Chain into SOL, or SOL into ETH, between your own two trading wallets. It usually takes a few seconds and costs 0.25% plus network and bridge costs. See [Convert](https://docs.2hour.fun/convert.md).

> [accordion] Can I lock in my gains overnight?
>
> Yes. **Lock in**, at the top of Convert, turns your ETH into USDG and your SOL into USDC, both \$1 stablecoins, in one tap. Convert back when you want to trade again. See [Convert](https://docs.2hour.fun/convert.md).

> [accordion] Which wallets can I use?
>
> Sign in with email or a social account and a trading wallet is made for you. You can also sign in with Rabby, MetaMask or Phantom and use Move in to fund your trading wallet.

> [accordion] Is there a 2hour.fun coin?
>
> There's no 2hour.fun coin. Part of what 2hour.fun earns goes straight back to traders instead. See [There's no 2hour.fun coin](https://docs.2hour.fun/no-coin.md).

> [accordion] What does Original or Copy mean?
>
> A coin is labelled Copy if an earlier coin, launched in the 7 days before it or still trading, used the same ticker, the same name or the same picture. Otherwise it's Original. See [Original and Copy](https://docs.2hour.fun/original-and-copy.md).

> [accordion] How do I get my creator fees?
>
> Claim them from your profile at any time. See [Fees](https://docs.2hour.fun/fees.md#the-trade-fee-and-creator-fees).

> [accordion] Can I change my coin's description or links after launch?
>
> Yes. Tap **Edit info** in your coin's About card to update its description and its Website, X and Telegram links. The name, ticker and picture stay as launched. See [Launching a coin](https://docs.2hour.fun/launching.md#editing-your-coins-info).

> [accordion] Can a dev lock their own coins?
>
> Yes. A dev can lock the coins in their launch wallet for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or a year, or burn them for good (time locks on Robinhood Chain are coming soon). The coin's page shows it once 2hour.fun has read it on the chain. See [Lock your dev buy](https://docs.2hour.fun/dev-lock.md).

> [accordion] How does the Refund Bot work?
>
> Every trade made on 2hour.fun by a signed-in account, up to a quarter of its chain's pot (half once the pot is full), has a small chance to be refunded in full from the Refund pot. See [The Refund Bot](https://docs.2hour.fun/refund-bot.md).

> [accordion] Where can I see what 2hour.fun pays out?
>
> On the [Payouts](https://2hour.fun/payouts) page. Every Refund Bot win, referral and shill earning and holder reward is listed with its on-chain transaction.

> [accordion] Can I use 2hour.fun on my phone?
>
> Yes. Add it to your home screen to use it like an app, with notifications. See [Alerts and notifications](https://docs.2hour.fun/alerts-and-notifications.md).

> [accordion] I sent funds on the wrong network. Can you get them back?
>
> Unfortunately not. Nobody can reverse a blockchain transaction, including 2hour.fun. Always send ETH on Robinhood Chain and SOL on Solana.

> [accordion] Someone messaged me offering help with my wallet. Is that you?
>
> No. 2hour.fun will never message you asking for your private key, seed phrase or password, or ask you to send funds. Report it and ignore it. See [Official links](https://docs.2hour.fun/official-links.md).

> [accordion] How do I report a bug or a security issue?
>
> Use **Support** in the site's footer for bugs and questions. For anything that could put funds or data at risk, email [security@2hour.fun](mailto:security@2hour.fun). See [Contracts and security](https://docs.2hour.fun/contracts-and-security.md).

> [accordion] Is anything here financial advice?
>
> No. These docs explain how 2hour.fun works. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. New coins are very risky, and many go to zero.
