# Fees

> Every fee on 2hour.fun in one place: the trade fee, coin taxes, the launch fee and network fees.

## At a glance

| Fee | Amount | Who pays | Where it goes |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Trade fee** | 1% of every trade | The trader | Shared between the coin's creator and 2hour.fun |
| **Raydium fee** | 0.25% | Traders on Solana | Raydium, the Solana exchange |
| **Creator tax** (some coins) | Up to 5% | The trader | The coin's creator |
| **Reward tax** (Reward coins) | 1%, 2% or 3% | The trader | Mostly the coin's holders, every hour |
| **Launch fee** | About \$500 | The creator | 2hour.fun |
| **Reservation deposit** | About \$250 (half the launch fee) | The creator | Counts towards the launch fee |
| **Convert** (ETH, SOL, USDC, USDG) | 0.25%, plus network and swap or bridge costs | The person converting | 2hour.fun, and Relay |
| **Network fee** | Small, varies | Everyone | The blockchain itself |

There's no fee to sign up, hold coins or receive payouts. Claiming your creator fees costs only the network fee.

## The trade fee and creator fees

Every trade pays a **1% fee**. It's shared between the coin's creator and 2hour.fun, and the split **rewards creators up front**:

> [card] 80% to the creator
>
> Until the creator has earned back their \$500 launch fee. 20% goes to 2hour.fun.

> [card] 20% to the creator
>
> After that, for as long as the coin trades. 80% goes to 2hour.fun.

The chain pays the creator's 20% with every trade. Until the launch fee is earned back, 2hour.fun adds the rest from its own share, in the coin's pair token (for example TSLA for a TSLA coin). Creators claim their fees from their profile at any time.

## Coin taxes

Some coins add a tax on every trade, shown as a badge on the coin's page:

* **Creator tax:** Normal coins on Robinhood Chain can add a creator tax of up to 5%, paid to the creator.
* **Reward tax:** [Reward coins](https://docs.2hour.fun/reward-coins.md) charge 1%, 2% or 3%. Most of it is shared with holders every hour, and a small part goes to 2hour.fun. The exact split is shown on the coin's rewards chip and on the Create page.

Taxes are part of the coin itself, so they're charged on every trade, including trades made on other apps after graduation.

## The launch fee

Launching a coin costs a flat **\$500**, priced live in ETH or SOL. The Create page shows the exact amount before you confirm. Both chains charge the same fee. See [Launching a coin](https://docs.2hour.fun/launching.md).

Reserving a launch while the window is closed prepays **half** the fee. The deposit is non-refundable and counts towards the fee when you launch. See [Reservations](https://docs.2hour.fun/reservations.md).

## Network fees

Every transaction pays a small **network fee** (gas) to the blockchain, in ETH or SOL. It doesn't go to 2hour.fun. Keep a little ETH or SOL in your wallet for these.

## Where 2hour.fun's share goes

Part of what 2hour.fun earns from trading goes straight back to traders:

* the [Refund Bot](https://docs.2hour.fun/refund-bot.md), which can refund whole trades;
* [referral and shill earnings](https://docs.2hour.fun/referrals-and-shills.md);
* [Dev incentives](https://docs.2hour.fun/dev-incentives.md), the bonuses at each volume milestone.

Holder rewards on [Reward coins](https://docs.2hour.fun/reward-coins.md) come from each coin's own reward tax, on top of this. Every one of these payments is made on-chain and listed on the [Payouts](https://docs.2hour.fun/payouts.md) page.
